MADSLIDE - 2300 - part IV

[a.k.a. DARK MATTER]

This is my new model driven by the unseen forces Gravity, Electricity, Magnetism and Solar Radiation

Finally Finished

It's nearing the end of July and I've done as much as I want to this model. It has caused me no end of problems; it's so much easier to just go and buy a new model! I can now say I'm fed up with it... it had better fly well or else.

All balsa and ply except for carbon wing and tailplane dowels and glass/epoxy skin on fuselage. Wings only have a coat of clear lacquer.

I just about programmed it too: regular rudder, elevator and outboard ailerons. Full ailerons (i.e. including flaps as ailerons) as well. Snap flaperons coupled to elevator, then full span thermal flap and reflex flaps (ailerons and flaps) plus butterfly all along with their respective elevator compensations.

Guessing at the CG to be around 40% but I have yet to measure it accurately. It came in massively overweight at more than 3kg so I am very disappointed. It is over 1.5m long and 2.3m span and has a presence about it. It should look good on the slope if it stays in one piece.

n Pull-pull rudder and elevator cables as per original.
